"Fun, but far from perfect"

A movie starring Captain America, James Bond, Laurie Strode, Lakeith Stanfield, and the Girl from 13 Reasons Why? What could go wrong? Well, not much really.

This movie will keep you guessing along the way, albeit several moments are predictable. Everyone does a great job in their respective roles. There aren't any awkward moments at all - so it's also a great family movie! Captain America plays the family asshole, James Bond plays the "Elmer Fud"-sounding detective, Lakeith Stanfield is the inquisitive yet somewhat-stupid police man (alongside his even dumber partner), and Laurie Strode is the bitch-mom-type that is probably insane. All the making for a terrific film!

Why not a perfect score? Well, there are moments where certain "twists" are predictable - which can make you feel like an accomplished detective yourself if you see them coming. And James Bonds' odd accent is a little too distracting. If every turn was another unpredictable twist, I would have given this film five stars, however, as a mystery thriller - Knives Out lacks in its many failed attempts to surprise. Fun, but far from perfect, 4/5.
